What is a "Notarial Services Attorney"?
A Notarial Services Attorney refers to a qualified, licensed lawyer who has undergone specialized legal training and secured formal certification from the Law Society of Thailand to officially authenticate documents and signatures. This standard is mandatory in Thailand and various international jurisdictions where notaries must be structurally and legally trained to issue valid certifications.
Types of Notary Certifications Provided
These are the standard, certified formats implemented in our professional notarial practice, each meticulously serving a specific procedural or judicial purpose:
1. Signature Witnessing
The notarial officer closely observes the individual signing a document in person, verifying their identity through passport/ID records, and confirms that the signature was executed completely voluntarily.
2. Acknowledgement
The signer appears before the notary to confirm that they previously signed the document of their own free will, even if the actual physical signing did not occur directly in the notary’s presence.
3. Notarized Translation
Certifies that a document translated from its original language into English or Thai is entirely accurate, complete, and verified for submission to embassies or foreign authorities.
4. Certified True Copy
The notarial officer meticulously compares the original corporate or personal document against its copy, certifying that the attached replication is an exact and true reproduction.
5. Notarized Affidavit
The declarant or affiant makes a sworn written statement, affirming the absolute truthfulness of its contents, and signs the document directly in front of the authorized notary.
6. Person's Capacity
Verifies not only the signature but also that the signer holds the required legal status or corporate position—such as a Managing Director or representative—to act on behalf of an organization.
7. Separate Attached Doc
Affirms the legal authenticity, validity, or context of specialized certificates, letters, or statutory declarations that are physically attached or submitted as separate annexes.
8. Legal Entity Status
Formally certifies that the individual represents a recognized corporate entity or legal framework and possesses the verified constitutional authority to sign and bind the organization.
9. Identity Verification
Meticulously cross-matches personal profiles across varying records to certify that the individual presenting the paperwork is the exact same person referred to within the primary document.
